A wonderful video from South Africa by the amazing studio Bashwax!
The producer Justin Archer invited me to join him and the talented illustrator Isaac Anthony on this cute production. I had the honour of translating Isaac’s vector-style designs into a stylised 3D world full of fun and character.
Mission:
We had the challenge of using both 2D animations and 3D animations while keeping perfect consistency in the look and feel.
By using cel shaders in Cinema 4D and some basic lights and shadows, I managed to produce shots that transition seamlessly into and out of the 2D scenes.
